| Due to the increasing number of disasters caused by nature and human behaviors such as September 11 Attacks in America, 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami, and 2008 Sichuan Wenchuan Earthquake, national commercial banks in China speed up the construction of disaster recovery. Meanwhile, these commercial banks start building disaster recovery center in the certain city, disaster recovery center in the separated districts, and even disaster recovery center in the separated districts within certain city, which improves the ability of these banks against disasters.This article illustrates the definition of disaster recovery and restorability in the case of disasters and its relative criteria. Then, from the perspectives of replication models, restorability criteria and recovery approaches, it provides detailed explanation of disaster recovery construction’ current situation in mainland and analyses the operation of some popular disaster recovery methods. In addition, comparisons between these methods are taken in terms of main functions, operational principles and technology features. In order to ensure the consistency and stability of information service system in Cangzhou Bank, based on the marketing analysis and planning aims, two advices are provided which are repairing the existing disaster recovery center in the certain city and building Zhangjiakou disaster recovery center with maintaining important information system data in the mode of three centers within two districts. The backup solution that has passed the test after advantaging cooperates with the software of Shareplex because of the data restorability, which improves the ability against disasters. Lastly, based on the requirement that is settled by People’s Bank of China, this paper gives risk assessments on operation and management of the backup system. It also establishes the framework of operation and maintenance and the replaceable scheme during the exercise to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency. |
