As a key national security protection units, prisons and detention centers require very strict security systems. With the development of Security & Surveillance Technology, in addition to various business needs which is due to the different departments have different characteristics prison, prompting the emergence of a variety of security systems. But security subsystems are mutual isolation and lack of linkage. Because of the growing demand, building the system over and over again becomes an increasingly important issue. Faced with how to strengthen the integration of security subsystems, increasing the effective linkage between them,build a scalable, high coupling, intelligent and integrated security systems becomes one of the hot current study.In this paper, firstly, analyzes the development status and trends of prison security system in domestic and overseas, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the prison security system integration.Secondly, according to the specific needs of the current prison security, fix the main functions of this system and put the overall system solution. And then,the overall network integration architecture, system linkage structure and hierarchical management structures were designed. Furthermore, through a detailed analysis of hardware-based multimedia SOC design and the framework of Wince embedded operating system, customize the system hardware module design and software design process. Finally, realized the system, including video intercom, multi-source broadcasting, surveillance, access control, alarming, 485 serial communications and other functional modules.In this system, by studying hardware integration, software integration, network integration and other related technologies, integrated the functions of multiple security subsystem, also achieved effective linkage between subsystems, which makes prison security system with highly integrated features, solve isolated information, streamline operations management, and improve work efficiency. It has realistic significance to promote the development of the prison security system which has the characteristics of network, intelligence and integration.
