The diversification of SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) modulations make various types of SPR sensors published, of which the intensity and phase modulated SPR sensors get the most attention and promotion due to their unique characteristics of high-throughput and high sensitivity respectively. LSPR (Local Surface Plasmon Resonance) has been applied in testing filed these years as theoretical studies and metal nanostructures fabrication progress, studies have pointed out that by delicate structure designation on metal surface, LSPR and SPR even could complement each other with their advantages. The purpose of this paper is to optimize the intensity modulated SPR sensors made by our laboratory, which include performance improvement and operation simplification, besides, take researched on LSPR to lay a theoretical basis for subsequent LSPR experiment, as well as LSPR and SPR technology combination.Technology innovations and application progresses of the SPR technology are introduced at the beginning of this paper, from the introduction, intensity modulated SPR sensor and LSPR technology are considered to keep up with the trends. Then the array SPR image sensor is described in details, by analyzing the performance figure of the sensor, the optimization on the light source, imaging system and Au film are considered to be effective to improve the resolution and sensitivity of the SPRi sensor. Then the prism-Au disconnect-type is put forward to simplify the replacement of sensing chips(Au), as well as cost saving, taking the traditional prism and Au structure of mutil-channel angle modulated SPR sensor for example, the whole structure design, theoretical simulation and experimental validation process are described in details. At last, the LSPR is introduced briefly, by FDTD software, the LSPR phenomenon of metal nanometer pore structure is studied, simulation results shows the relationship between resonance wavelength and the material, size of the structure, as well as the beam incident angle and samples refractive index, besides, the variation on the resonance curve shape effected by basal material is also analyzed.
