Research On The Application Of Internet Of Things Technologies In The Library Management

In the information age, there are significant changes in library management. The nine existing library management theories lay particular emphasis on the management of information technology, systematization, humanization and others, however, they all lack of specific solutions. The current library management, based on traditional bar code, magnetic stripe of identification, is unreliable and inefficient. As the related subject of library in the information age has put forward new requirements for library management, in this paper, which is based on library management theory and combined with technical features of the internet of things, we will analyze the application of internet of things in library management to improve modern library management.First, the introduction of related theories and concepts, including library management theory, the definition and features of internet of things, the concepts and features of social media. They are the theoretical foundation for the analysis and research in this paper. From the analysis of library management theory, we’ve noticed that the current theories place extra emphasis on the study of concepts instead of the study of a collection of new technologies in information age. However, new things such as the internet of things and social media can perfectly make up for the deficiencies in the existing library management.The objective of library is to meet the needs of related subjects. So in this paper, we will discern, analyze and evaluate the needs of different subjects through such methods as interviews, participant observation, and questionnaire. In the meantime, with the problems encountered in the library services, we will also analyze and evaluate different needs, problems, and the causes of the problems. From these researches, we can set the purpose of the application of internet of things on library management in order to lay the foundation for later service models and the detailed application design of RFID technique.The establishment of library service model based on internet of things is on the base of the collection, processing, analysis, storage of information. So we must first design the basic architecture and key mechanism of information, then design, first of all, push service model for individual readers, and predict theirs’reading process and put forward some reading suggestions. Secondly, design service model auxiliary book selection program so as to help readers pin down their final selections. Thirdly, design human service model to provide lighting, heating, air and other environmental services, which will set the application of internet of things as the core.The detailed design of the application of RFID technique:Taking RFID technique as the core, we will put forward the solutions to related key issues of library management with the design of related subsystems. First, put forward the applications and overall architecture of RFID based on the application of RFID. Then, put forward a automatic access program to improve the previous management system, a automatically search program to improve the efficiency of searching books for the readers and a automatic inventory program to improve the efficiency of book inventory.In this paper, we have thoroughly combined the needs of modern library management with the technique of internet of things, and put forward the design of optimization system. This paper can enrich the area of the combination of library management theory and emerging technologies. Meanwhile, we’11 help to instruct some relevant organization and units to establish a perfect library management system.
