The planar slot array antenna have been widely used in all kinds of airborne radar and space field for its high gain,low side lobe,small volume,light weight,strong anti-interference ability and simple installation conditions.At the same time,the planar slot array antenna has the characteristics of multilayer hohlraum and thin-wall.The structural complexity and high precision requirements determine the difficulties of this kind of antenna manufacturing process which lie in the parts of the precision machining and forming the whole welding. Through the analysis of a planar antenna structure and after processing properties, the paper developes a feasible manufacturing method.Focus on the following four parts:1.Effect of Manufacturing precision of antenna on the electrical performance .By Analysising the working principle and structural characteristics of the antenna,the paper elaborates the main manufacture factors which influence electrical performance of antenna.2.Antenna parts manufacturing.By the structure analysis of antenna, the paper decomposes the integrated plate slit antenna and elaborates a manufacturing method which satisfies the demand for accuracy of parts.3.Welder tooling and fixture design.By combining the characteristic of vacuum brazing and the antenna structure,we determine a location and set-up method of welding parts, and design a welder tooling and fixture.4.Vacuum brazing of antenna.By combining the material and structure characteristcs of parts, and weldability characteristic,we determine welding parameters,carry out the welding fabrication of the planar slot array antenna.Through the above research,we formulate a complete manufacturing process method from parts manufacturing、welder tooling and fixture design to welding fabrication, and the process meets the requirements of the precision of the planar slot array antenna.
