Wireless communication systems is toward miniaturization, more and more miniaturized wireless communication devices have appeared in our lives. Passive filters occupies a very important position in the wireless communication system, miniaturization of passive filter will help the development of miniaturization of wireless communication systems. In this paper, the miniaturization of wireless communications passive filter design can be implemented analyzed and found LTCC technology can be effectively controlled passive filter volume. LTCC technology can be three-dimensional layout of the capacitors, inductors, this layout can be efficient use of space, as long as reasonable layout can filter reduced the volume more than doubled. Therefore researching LTCC filter has a very important significance for researching miniaturization passive filter. This paper studies the LTCC passive filter design methods from the following aspects.First, general parameters studied passive filter design methods, including Butterworth, Chebyshev filter. Then simulated using two methods designed low pass, high pass, band pass filter.Second, studied the LTCC buried capacitance and inductance of the passive design methods, the use of three-dimensional simulation tools HFSS for a variety of different types of capacitors, inductors simulation analysis. MIM capacitors compared with VIC capacitors, spiral inductors and vertical spiral inductors, get their own advantages and disadvantages. At last, with the above LTCC buried capacitance, inductance design method, select the appropriate device size 2.5GHz bandpass filter design, through HFSS simulation results with the design requirements of LTCC passive bandpass filter consistent.
