Architectural Knowledge Distribution In Contemporary China Under The New Media Situation

Before the 21 st century, the Chinese architectural academia was still in a traditional media circumstance. As the information was relatively isolated to us then, people acquire these knowledge from architectural journals at most. And, rarely, there were some public discussions about architecture. For a long time, provided that architecture is a professional academy, the knowledge of architecture just spread in a exclusive and stable group.As the time goes by, the new media greatly impact the status of original architectural medium. The architectural knowledge, architects and building itself have been turned into medium. In the Coming along with the new media environment, a new phase of architectural knowledge dissemination shows in front of us. The architectural knowledge get multi-angle comprehensive presentations in a more extensive world. At the time of the route of knowledge transmission constantly diversifies and develops, a tremendous is taking place on the propagation mode and the knowledge itself. Influenced by each other, they are actually in a relationship of dynamic association.Firstly, this thesis introduces the manners of architectural knowledge dissemination in the new media environment: both traditional medium like journals and new medium as websites. to present the complicated multitudinous status of knowledge dissemination in new media environment is a significant consideration; Secondly, as the forms’ dissemination evolves, will new propagation modes will generate inevitably.
