The time grating displacement sensor is a new type displacement sensor without relying on a high-precision scribed, which makes it possible to use time to measure space, to complete magnetic- electric conversion, and optical- electrical conversion based on displacement measurement. It is considered that the key of time grating displacement sensor is to construct a relatively uniform movement coordinates or a variety of traveling wave with time and spatial information based on the theoretical foundation, measurement principle, and structures of time grating displacement sensor.Currently, the dynamic error problem in transducers is greatly researched around the world, though the relevant dynamic errors of the time grating displacement sensor have been studied in its exploratory stage, the study of dynamic errors for the time grating displacement sensor has a positive effect to promote the industrial development of time grating displacement sensor, developing the time grating displacement sensor performance further.The dynamic error model and correction algorithm of time grating displacement sensor have been proposed, Specific studies are as follows:(1) The measurement principle and structure model of magnetic time grating displacement sensor have been analyzed deeply, dynamic simulation for time grating displacement sensor has been made with ANSOFT electromagnetic simulation, and magnetic field distribution and the rotor windings’ electromotive force are analyzed.(2) The electromotive force of magnetic time grating displacement sensor’s rotor windings has been deduced by establishing mathematical model, set up the link between rotor speed and induced electromotive force, and find out the relationship between the measured angle and speed for correcting dynamic error of time grating displacement sensor.(3) Experimental Platform has been built, and the dynamic error model has been validated with analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the model contrasting the original dynamic error model at the same time.To summarize, a dynamic error compensation model with phase compensation has been presented based on the steady-state error and error theory of magnetic time grating displacement sensor, with which can restrain the speed error when time grating displacement sensor is running on a certain speed through theoretical analysis and experimental verification. Therefore, it shall improve the dynamic measurement accuracy of time grating displacement sensor.
