To getting data information of the environment is an important condition for the frozen soil research, it had been relied on artificial monitoring method for a long time. It is a kind of soil which is extremely sensitive to temperature and its property is closely related to the soil, ice content and temperature. The change of frozen soil’s characteristics not only reflects the change of climate to a certain extent, but also serious damages the railway and highway which in the frozen area. So it is necessary to carry on the real-time detection in order to obtain the feature information which is related to the frozen soil. Effective real-time monitoring of frozen soil provides basic information for the study of frozen soil property and reduces the geological disasters which caused by the change of frozen soil characteristics, so it has important practical value.The wireless sensor network was implemented for the Qinghai-Tibet railway monitoring project based on ZigBee. Wild WSN monitoring system, including the coordinator node, router node and enddevice node, which can be used for measurement in the field for a long time. The TI company’s CC2530 which is a low-power ZigBee module was employed as the core of the WSN, the main control chip is very suitable for a long time monitoring of wild. Each node transmits data based on the IEEE802.15.4 wireless communication protocol. Energy management and state management of field WSN monitoring system is the main content in this paper. Energy management mainly study the design of power supply system, the low power design, node battery charging management, power supply control for Android gateway and Bluetooth module. State management include equipment state and environment state, the equipment state is to obtain the required information which can assure the node equipment can work normally. The required information including the power supply voltage of node equipment, network topology, state of communication signals, internal temperature and humidity, external trigger, etc; Environment state management is only can obtain the ground temperature of the monitoring area in this paper, it hope to monitor moisture, air pressure, precipitation, wind and so on in the future.
