The technology of color target generation is studied to meet the objective need of spatial resolution detection in color imaging system. In the military electro-optical system, color television system hold more and more important role in target detection, recognition and sight-stabilizing. Therefore, the detection and correction for the color space resolution of color television system is indispensable. The color space resolution detection device should be accurate, objective and effective in testing its color space resolution. And the key part is the generation of color target. It directly influences the quality of target light source. It is also an important symbol of accuracy for color detection. So the study on the method of producing color target is of great significance.Two methods are present to generate color target in this paper. The first is based on integrating sphere, and the second is based on digital micro-mirror device. In the structure, the latter reduces the number of integrating sphere and avoids the use of filter, it is not affected by temperature and wavelength and is debugged conveniently. In the synthesis of the target color, as the each pixel micro lens of the digital micro mirror device can be controlled precisely, the later can generate the specified color accurately. So the latter is chosen to further research.Firstly, prism dispersion system is used to form white light spectrum, and the spectral information is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively; Secondly, the design ideas of color synthesis by the spectrum is proposed by the characteristics of digital micro-mirror that can control each pixel micro-mirror unit digitally. Meantime, the combination color is made color management to the minimum distortion when transfer between different devices; Thirdly, integrating sphere lambert is deduced by mathematical method, and mixed color features is got, then the influence of the characteristic parameters of integrating sphere is studied; Lastly, the drive control circuit is designed, including brightness control circuit and the color control circuit.
