The Design And Implementation Of Crowdsourcing Platform For Document Editing And Information Consultation

With the development of the global economic and cultural integration, studying abroad is a choice becoming more and more popular among undergraduates. But domestic and foreign geographical and cultural differences exist objectively. These differences led to difficulties for those planning to study abroad (hereinafter referred to as "Customer").Due to these difficulties, some customers may not be able to make a suitable choice of profession and mentor, some may lack the ability to introduce themselves properly. To meet customers’ pressing needs accordingly, a lot of companies, including education agencies, consulting and editing companies, are springing up in recent years.However, most of these companies are in the mode of traditional business, whose marketing and services have not been carried online. They have to rent space, hire professionals, resulting in great operational costs. Although a small number of them have taken the first step building online systems, these systems are still far from perfect.In this paper, we provide a solution for DIY studying abroad industry to promote and privode services. The solution is in crowdsourcing pattern, making the best of those who have enough capability to provide editing and consulting services. Besides, content management system and marketing functionality are also included to complete a whole commercial solution.The main contribution of this paper is a design and implementation of a crowdsourcing platform helping apply for university abroad. This platform includes standard workflows to guarantee service quality and an integrated messesing tool to make a convenient communication between service provider and customer. Another contribution is, the crowdsourcing service pattern does not require fulltime service providers, this can make the service cost lower than competitor.It is predictable that, once this platform is promoted well and accepted broadly by the market, more and more users will join the platform. Those users are not only consumers, but also are capable to provide services. By then, this crowdsourcing platform will not only provide studying abroad services, it will be the one, which have the potential to provide much more kinds of services.
