| Crowdsourcing has been better practiced in the business sector and later introduced to the news industry.Therefore,the thesis taking crowdsourcing as the starting point conducts related research on crowdsourcing news.In the process of sorting out relevant literature on crowdsourcing news,this thesis finds that the crowdsourced news of the British Guardian was highly recognized by scholars and the industry,and the Guardian has established a long-term crowdsourcing website.Therefore,the thesis takes Guardian Witness as the research object,and can learn from experience by analyzing the rules of crowdsourcing task discovery released by this platform,including the topic selection,user contribution,crowdsourcing strategies,etc.According to statistics,the number of crowdsourcing tasks released each year by Guardian Witness in 2013-2017 shows an upward trend.This thesis analyzes the crowdsourcing tasks released by the British Guardian Witness website and finds that most of the crowdsourcing tasks of the platform are for global information solicitation.After categorizing statistics on crowdsourcing topics,this thesis finds that the user's interest and the timeliness of the news determine that the theme of the report is culture,lifestyle and politics.This is mainly determined by the interest of users and the timeliness of news.Also,crowdsourcing tasks can attract users' attention by improving their proximity and interest.After analyzing the contribution of the crowdsourcing task users posted on the Guardian Witness website,this thesis finds that users of environmental and cultural tasks have the highest contribution,and the social and political crowdsourcing user contributions are also considerable.To sum up the main reasons,interestingness and proximity play a greater role.The Guardian Witness crowdsourcing website has also taken corresponding measures to ensure the legitimacy and rigor of its content;it also has many advantages in user maintenance measures,such as collecting prizes,setting fixed tasks,and considering usersafety,etc.All of these can increase the enthusiasm of user-provided content and increase user stickiness.Through the analysis of the Guardian Witness website,this article summarizes the strategies it adopts,and draws the following experience: the website publishing crowdsourcing task must consider not only its news value,but also the user's interest;the platform can raise the enthusiasm of the user through the prize collection and display through the authoritative platform;the platform needs to strictly check the content to ensure its authenticity and legality. |
