With the rapid development of computer technology and Internet, web is making more and more influnce on people’s daily life, studying and working, many human behaviors are now reflected and extended in the Internet environment. Therefore a large of researches on Internet emerge at the historic moment. As the basic element to build the Internet and direct reflection of the units’ connections, link analysis becomes a very importent component of these researches. Researches on link analysis arose in the middle of 1990s, when researchers tried to expand the thoughts and methods of bibliometrics into the Internet environment. The earliest thought of link analysis was actually derived from citation analysis which’s an important part of bibliometrics. The thought of link analysis catched attention of researchers from different disciplinary areas soon after it’s arising. Because of the researchers’ difference in research objects, metohds and purposes, link analysis began to branch out into some disciplinary perspectives, mainly including:information science link analysis approach (ISLAA), computer science link analysis approach (CSLAA) and Social science link analysis approach (SSLAA). Experiencing about twenty years’development, the baisc theory system and main practical use of every approach are almost mature, a lot of link collect tools, link analysis algorithm and link analysis applications have sprung up.However, at the present stage the development of Internet is very rapid. In addition, with the consepts such as " Web 2.0 " put forword, users are playing more and more important roles in building and evolving the Internet. This makes the hyperlinks more complex, as well as meaning more and deeper, which presents new challenges to link analysis. To sovle the emerging problems, every approach of link analysis needs to refine the research of their own field, at the same time to learn thoughts, methods and results from each other to promote the development and application of interdisciplinary and comprehensive researches, which now seem limited both in quantity and intersection. In order to explore an universal paradigm of link analysis, at first the develpoment and status of link analysis researches from every branch are reviewed to find out problems that need to solve and applicable methods. Second, the more comprehensive and authoritative theoretical framework put foward by Mike Thelwall is referred to, so as to do up the basic theory and illuminate the related concepts, metheds and main applications of link analysis. Then a metric analysis of the attributive characters (such as publish time, study area, study topic, cited situation and so on) and content features (such as research institution, author, keywords, citation network and so on) of the domestic and foreign link analysis literatures is carried on, in oder to look out the similarities and differences between these literatures. The results are used to judge out the authoritative scholars, important literatures, research emphasis and difficulties, with the help of which to explore and conclude the fusion paradigm of link analysis. At last a link analysis empirical research for websites from a specific area is done to discuss the ’knowledge mining’ appliction of link analysis, what’s more to check out the performance and efect of the fusion paradigm in factual researches. The thesis consists of five chapters, which are structured as follows:Chapter 1, introduction. Research background and significance, domestic and foreign research status, research content and purpose, research methods and innovative points are set forth.Chapter 2, link analysis. Related concepts, primary indicators, a part of methods and main applications in specific areas of link analysis are introduced.Chapter 3, the fusion paradigm of link analysis based on bibliometrics. CJFD, CSCD and WoS are used to collect the related informations of domestic and foreign literatures. Bicomb, SPSS, Pajek and Ucinet are used to the extraction, statistics and visualization of these data to find out the core factors needed, on the basis of which to explore the fusion paradigm of link analysis at the present stage.Chapter 4, empirical research. Ten websites of domestic digital products are chosen to carry on a link analysis empirical research. Data sourses, study procedure, results and explainations are introduced. With the empirical research, the application of link analysis in solving practical problems is studied, also the applicability and validity of the fusion paradigm are tested.Chapter 5, summary and prospect. Research procedure, conclusion and results are summarized and induced. Then the shortage of this thesis and further research direction are pointed out.
