Social network analysis was the research focus of the current information field,community detection is an important research content of social network analysis.However, instead of considering the direct show of detection process and detectionresults, most researchers only concern the effective and quality of detection, bringingmany inconveniences to the future analysis. However, as a tool for analysis andexpressing data, information visualization technology has many shortages in displaythe community information of social network data and it also can’t reflect therelationship between the communities.Therefore, in light of the foregoing problems, based on the deep research ofinformation visualization technology and community detecting technology, this paperanalyzed and compared the characters of the current kinds of visualization technology,proposed an effective resolution for display the social network data, designed andrealized a prototype system. Concretely, this paper’s research works for the socialnetwork visualization technology are mainly as follows:Firstly, after researching deeply on the information visualization technology,from the two aspects of visual layout algorithm and interactive technology, this paperbriefly expounds the essence of visualization technology. Then, this paper analyzedthe characteristics of the present visualization algorithms and tools, laid theoreticalfoundation for further development of the new visualization algorithm of networkdata for community analysis.Secondly, through the research of the community analysis technology andforce-directed layout algorithm, putting forward the community detecting analysislayout algorithm. This algorithm brought into the concept of the structure compactdegree, reformed and improved the quality and efficiency of the traditionalvisualization layout algorithms through hierarchy technology. The experimentalresults showed that the effective in showing the social network data clustercharacteristic has larger ascension than classic layout algorithm. Because of theeffective support for showing social network cluster characteristics, this algorithm caneffectively help people to analysis the social network.Thirdly, after further researching on community analysis technology, using theknown community information, in the support of hierarchy technology, this paperproposed the community information layout algorithm. Based on the known community information, using the category of concrete after abstract, layingindividual after laying community, this algorithm realized the good show of the socialnetwork data with the community information. Besides, this algorithm could alsoestimate the result of community detection and check the character of the experimentdata.Lastly, in the support of the former theory, after analyzing the characteristics ofother visualization software, this paper implements a simple prototype system forsocial network visualization. This system implements the classic layout algorithm andthe two algorithms which proposed by this paper, and has some basic visualinteractive technology.
