The Research Of The Books Ontology Building Based On Folksonomy

With the arrival of information age, information plays an increaseingly important role in our daily life and work, and changes people’s daily work and life constantly. The promotion and use of Web2. 0 technology has changed the situation that traditional information users could only receive information passsively which enables each information user to be the creator, user and communicator of information. Information growth presents the characteristics of large quantity and high speed. The traditional methods of information organization can’t meet the needs of the new information organization at manpower and time. With the "bottom-up" idea to organize information folksonomy makes full use of the wisdom and strength of information users to organize the huge amounts of information that generates in real time by tags. Because of the differences in users’ knowledge background, education, purposes and understanding about information, some problems appear such as marked confuse ambiguous labels and so on; The flat non-hierarchical structure and other defects of folksonomy, lead to classified confusion, lack of semantic relationships between grades in category, and that labels could not reflect the information content correctly. This situation results in "information island Mand ‘‘information misleading" and other issues, unable to meet the need of information retrieveron information timeliness completeness9accuracy,convenience requirements.Based on the study of folksonomy, user labels ontology and other related concepts this paper pays attention to the labels of related books collected fro m Web2. 0 sites and does work of cleaning specificating, conceptualization extr acting and others. According to the analysis of the characters and purposes of b ooks ontology construct, and the reference about library subject classification and users’ retrieval habits the author takes "book" as the theme of books ontology to build books ontology model combined with the need of users’ books inform ation need.
