Electronic load has many advantages compared with traditional analog resistive load, such as low power consumption, small size, high performance and so on. It is widely used in many tests such as power, battery and communications equipment. The current linear electronic load mostly is controlled by the power tube current and consumes energy in the power tube. Because of the limited energy single power tube, it requires a lot of power tubes in parallel to achieve high current testing tasks. For now, automatic constant current power DC electronic load has lots of shortcomings in the circuit design, such as poor stability, slow response and so on. On this basis, I propose an improved scheme about the automatic constant current power DC electronic load.To complete the design task, I carried out the overall structure of the electronic load from the electronic load system topology. I chose DSP TMS320F28030 microcontroller as the core processor from I/O pins, communication, language development, design costs, etc. I completed the power board circuit, sampling circuit, power supply circuit, circuit protection circuit and communication circuit, etc. I completed the software design task of electronic load by CCS. I simulated the core part power board through professional analog circuit simulation software PSpice. So I verified the correctness of the power board circuit design. Finally, I finished all debugging tasks of electronic load by software and hardware connection.The last,5V-300A electronic load can complete the tasks of constant voltage, constant current, constant resistance, constant power from the debugging results. Performance parameters can meet the requirements such as control accuracy, current rise time, output ripple, etc. the results verified the correctness of the improvement program.
