With the rapid development of Chinese architectural decoration industry, the new injection molding decoration materials with the properties of green, environmental protection, energy saving, heat preservation and fire proof are loved by more and more people.But the new decorative injection material workshop’s conditions are backward,the environment is very harsh and the injection molding conveying process still need artificial classification, a large amount of the labor of workers. Based on the above reasons, the production department is inevitable to hire more labors, thereby greatly increasing the cost of enterprise. Therefore, a new injection molding decoration materials manufacturers need a automatic sorting system of injection molding and post order feeding equipment. In this context, the development of gantry robot automatic sorting system will have broad market prospects.By the analysis and research of the current domestic and international automated sorting robot’s design and combined with the specific requirements of customers shop, the paper designed a robotic automatic sorting equipment to achieve automatic classification and improve production efficiency.Firstly, according to the requirements of the injection molding conveying and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of several existing automatic sorting manipulator,we are determined to the overall design scheme about automatic sorting manipulator.Then,we drew the 3D models of each part of the automatic sorting system through the application of 3D design software SolidWorks and finished the assembly. At last, we derived engineering drawings from 3D models by SolidWorks.Secondly, in order to improve the reliability and stability of automatic sorting system,we had the static analysis and dynamic analysis of the main bracket and the gantry robot frame body and mechanical hand fixture through the theory of finite element analysis by the application of the software of ANSYSWorkbench.By the analysis of the diagrams of stress,strain,total deformation,we will further assure the security of the system.Thirdly, completing the pneumatic part design of the sorting system. According to the requirements of manipulator steadily crawling materials, we will design a reasonable pneumatic system solutions, and draw pneumatic schematics and finish the selection of pneumatic components.Compared to the current injection molding workshop production status, this topic design of gantry robot automatic sorting system can achieve the delivery of the production, recognition, classification, storage and the feeding of next step well and implement almost the whole automatic process. It will be of great significance about reducing the labor intensity of workers, improving the corporate image, promoting the standardization of the current architectural decoration industry.
