In recent years, the global digital publishing industry is making a fast development and the growth momentum is very strong, meanwhile, China’s digital publishing industry has maintained a sustained, steady and good momentum as well. According to China’s digital publishing industry annual report (2013-2014), the digital publishing industry products exceeded 250 billion Yuan (RMB) in 2013, the whole income continued to rise and the customer scale grew steadily and the electronic books caught everyone’s eyes. Supported and guided by the press and publication administrators, the first Digital Upgrade Demonstration Unit achieved the expected effect and played a leading role.Under the impact of the Internet thinking, the traditional publishing company had to upgrade faster. The ideas of transformation became clearly after practicing and practicing. Industry convergence speeded, and powerful combination was very outstanding. As the content providers, the publishers began to looking for new model and breaking through of the digital publication. The core point of the digital bandwagon is to transform and to upgrade. More than 80 percent small scale publishers get involved. More and more pressure to live and more violently competition make the vital importance to select the competition strategy, and the differentiation strategy is the common select of many companies.Therefore, through analyzing the theoretical literature to trace the facts, analyzing the internal and external environment and adopting the SWOT tool, the author suggested the SFP press should be focused on the difference competition strategy and the details be as bellow:products, service and marketing. Also, the support measures such as should be adopted.This article used some study methods such as the method of literature, cases and experience and so on and consist of five portions. And they are:Firstly theoretical review, secondly analyses of internal and external environments of SFP, thirdly selecting the differentiation strategy for SFP, fourthly making some suggestions for SFP to execute the differentiation strategy.The publisher SFP focused in travelling and cultural exchanging with foreign countries got involved in the digital wagon without doubt. It is the most important to survive, to develop in the face of competition. Making the differentiation strategy clear and the measures suggested to execute the differentiation strategy are the two creative points of this article and also can be used for reference by other press alike and scholars.
