Chip industry is regarded as the country's "industrial food",with the rapid development of our economy,the demand for various types of chips is growing.Among them,the demand for chips in China smart grid construction is as high as 300 billion yuan,but 90 % of the chips in the power field are imported from abroad,which has created great security problems.With the mission to develop the chip industry for state grid utility,how to develop chip industry quickly and obtain a competitive advantage in the fierce market competition has become the first problem Z company faces.This paper analyzes the chip industry with tools such as industry life cycle and five-force model,and finds that the chip industry is strongly supported by national policies,also the future market demands are huge,but the market is basically dominated by foreign manufacturers,and the competition pressure is huge.At the same time,using value chain analysis,standard analysis and other tools to analyze Z company's chip business,we find that Z company has a strong research and development strength,they also have advantages of power chip application,however,due to the short establishment time and the single chip product line,it is difficult to form a joint force and has no ability to compete directly with foreign manufacturers.Finally,through the analysis of strategic selection Matrix,the strategy of Z company chip business competition is determined,that is,to adopt the centralized strategy as the main strategy and horizontal integration as the complementary strategy.At the same time,according to the analysis of the internal and external environment of Z company and the results of the standard analysis,the corresponding implementation measures are formulated to ensure the realization of the competition strategic objectives.The competition strategy model proposed in this paper provides a reference for the development of Z company's chip business.
