In recent years, the Hall Integrated Circuits as a Hall sensor module are widely used in various types of non-contact measurement, pressure switches and limit switches and other sensors, especially in the field of automotive electronics has been widely applied. With the development of automation industry, to achieve the Hall Integrated Circuits test automation has been widely recognized. At the same time, the non-standard automation equipments which are tailored according to the customer requirements, inject new vitality for the field of factory automation. With the latest development of NI virtual instrumentation testing technology, it is essential to research the automatic equipment of Hall Integrated Circuits test.This paper comes from a project of a non-standard automation equipment manufacturing company, which designs test equipment of the Hall Integrated Circuits in SOT23 package. According to the company’s and the customer’s technical requirements, combined with the production of company and the development of industry, we design a test equipment to match the production line of Hall Integrated Circuits in SOT23 package with high automation, low cost, stable operation.In this paper, it elaborate the package of the Hall Integrated Circuits, discuss the research objectives and Research contents. It identify the overall structure of the test equipment. The equipment is divided into three subsystems: mechanical system, PLC control system and testing system. And then put forward the design requirements of each subsystem and the overall design briefly. Firstly, the mechanical system is designed, which includes the bench design and structural layout, the transmission process module design of the Hall Integrated Circuits in SOT23 package and pneumatics design. The mechanical system focuses on the transmission process module design of the product, which includes the distributing module, pre-positioning module, room temperature testing module, preheating module, high temperature testing module, the catching module and the handling module of four-axis electric cylinder. Secondly, the PLC control system includes the model selection of sensors and electrical devices, PLC hardware configuration, the drawing of I/O allocation table. The main parts of PLC control system are designs of electric cylinder operation control, temperature control and pneumatic control. The testing system which includes the hardware selection and the software design, introduces the principle of the Hall Integrated Circuits testing, with emphasis on the use of Lab VIEW software modular interface design.Finally, it obtains accurate test data through the debugging and testing of the equipment. It indicates that the equipment basically meet the automatic test needs of the Hall Integrated Circuits in SOT23 package. This equipment meets the monitoring and controlling requirements of the temperature, the magnetic field and other parameters. It achieves the function of test data’s record and management, and provides reliable basis for the automatic test equipment’s research and development of the Hall Integrated Circuits in SOT23 package.
