With the development of economy and the increasing requirement of televisio n programs, the techno logy of digital televisio n has been rapid development. At the same time we need to send more high-qualit y digital televisio n signals to the user. Therefore, the need for a device of prefe rred digital televisio n signals to provide people with high-qualit y digital TV programs, so the preferred techno logy for digital audio and video streams of research and its applicat ion is part icularly important.Aiming at the actual requirements of radio a nd televisio n system, through analysis of its digital television signal stream as well as its transmission rate, the literature has designed and realized a set of mult i-channel digital audio and video streaming select ion system which based on the Intel’s network processor IXP465, the Ethernet switching chip KS8995 and the Freescale ’s chip MPC8309. The system realizes the two-channel digital audio and video streams o f monitoring and control in order to select a set o f good data qualit y as an output signal, the system mainly consists of a "power module", "Channel module ", "data processing module" and "panel control module" and so on, and another WEB page as the interactive interface to display the various parameters of the system during system operat ion, and the corresponding parameters o f the system can be set.At last, this paper completed the overall design o f mult i-channel digital audio and video streaming select ion system and the hardware and software on-line debugging. The test results show that the digital TV streaming contract rate in the normal operat ion o f equipment within 1.5 Mbps, mult i-channel audio and video streams of different transmission rates can be real-t ime monitoring and control while the data source is preferably selected as th e output path of the way, it has low power consumption and excellent commu nicat ion speed and stabilit y, more than the expected goal o f 1.2 Mbps contract rate, and has practical value.
