With the rapid development of various equipments, people more and more realizethat the measurement relying solely on the human to complete the data and indicators isunable to meet our needs. The test system we designed and implemented is an automatictest system which took use of virtual instrument technology and met our partners’ a set ofdemands. Controlled by computer, the test system can complete functions like automatictest equipment, data acquisition, data analysis and records. Development and applicationof automatic test systems can significantly reduce the fthe interference of human factors inthe test, improve the efficiency of production equipment.The whole test system hardware consists of the following five parts: industrialcontrol machine, ADLINK high performance data acquisition card, signal source, controlboard and external test equipments. The industrial control machine mainly sendsinstructions to coordinate each instrument operation; data acquisition card is the corecomponent of each data acquisition system, responsible for the acquisition andtransmission of both analog signals and digital signals; signal source using FPGA togenerate the required various signals needed in testing; control board receives theinstructions of the industrial control computer, and completes relay switching and signalconditioning. Based on the platform of Labview software system, software system of thetester consists of test modules with various specific functions, and each test modulerealizes its corresponding function by calling different controls.This paper firstly introduces the concept and the development status of automatictesting technology and virtual instruments. Then that the goals and tasks of project, andthen in accordance with the given parameters, this paper expounds the general design ofthe system scheme, and based on this general scheme on the specific description of theimplementation of hardware and software and the test process issues and solutions. Finally,summarized the whole research process and results and completed in the project work andput forward the problems that need further study.
