The technologyof magnetic flux leakage (MFL) has been widelyemployed in detectionfor wire rope and steel tube since it came into existence. For detection of the winding hoistrope,existingwirerope MFLtestingequipmentwashardtousewhiletheautomatic-handlingdetection. Therefore, it’s of great significance to redesign MFL testing sensor andcorresponding automatic loading and unloading system for wire rope in single rope windinghoist to meet the scene actual testing demand.This paper proposed a new magnetization method based on U-yoke magnet, with theresearch foundation of yoke magnetization. The model was used to design a dislocation typeof magnetizer for wire rope in single rope winding hoist. Then this study analyzed the effectof the new magnetizer on rope magnetic field, MFL of defects and the interaction force torope, so as to work out the optimum structure.Thisstudycarriedoutin-depthstudyoftheMFLdetectionsensorforwireropedetectionand proposed a detection method of multi-coil combined with array based on magnetic fluxgathering technique, it has good inhibitory effect to simplify detection structure, reduce thenoise from signal and optimize the MFLsignal.this studydeveloped a system for probe-tracking and probe-handling with apply to wirerope in single rope winding hoist and above-mentioned magnetizer. First, we drawing up3plan for probe-tracking, by consideration all the aspects and comparing with the modelexperimental results of many plans, a plan of the parallel four-for automatic trackingmechanism which relatively better is chosen, then, we designed a three-freedom degreemachine arm for probe-handling, completed the kinematics analysis and the forward&inverse analytical solutions to provide the basis for motion control, also accomplished thestructural static analysis(FEM) for the important part.Finally, we introduced the actually operation status of the online MFL detection systemfor winding hoist wire rope in mine production site. The process of operation and detectionwas introduced in details, wire rope defect signal was analyzed to verify the practicality andrationality of the system.
