Research On Several Key Techniques Of Software Radio Receiver

The software radio, as an emerging wireless communication technology, not onlybrings innovation to the receiver technology, but also is widely applied in military andcivilian communication, and so on. Based on programmable hardware platform, softwareradio receiver can implement a variety kinds of digital signal processing, whosecommonality and flexibility in communication lead to wide range of potential applications.This paper starts from problems frequently appeared in the implementation of softwareradio receiver, then puts forward the corresponding solution and takes detailedintroduction to concrete realization.Firstly, it s necessary to store the high speed of mass data in real time, which comesfrom the AD converter in RF front-end. This paper proposes using external SDRAM ofFPGA to store the mass data, which is further prepared for digital signal processing ascontinues source. In addition, the interface between FPGA and SDRAM is designed andpassed the timing verification by ModelSim. Finally, the data read-write of SDRAM isimplemented correctly in hardware platform. Secondly, a reconfiguration system forman-machine interaction is built, through which the parameters in receiver can be resetand status can be inquired and monitored. This system is also able to transfer some workof receiver to the upper computer, thus makes plenty hardware resources of lowercomputer saved. In the end, digital signal processing (filtering, gain adjustment, addingmodulation signal and so on) by software programming on preprocessing hardwareplatform makes it possible to obtain kinds of ideal signal, which lays the reliablefoundation of signal source for performance test of receiver.
