With the continuous development of IP network technology, a variety of IP-based services appeared. VoIP (Voice over IP) is one of the very important technology on, IP network. Compared with the traditional telephone, using voice over IP packet comes out with a low cost, low price, new business expansion and many other advantages of convenience. On the other hand, compared with traditional telephone network,IP telephony still has certain deficiencies, such as the IP network Qos. Authors estimate that in a period of time, IP packet telephony and traditional PSTN phone is bound to co-exist for different groups of customers service.In the next-generation networks, IP networks will undoubtedly become a core, which requires the transition to next-generation networks must support the new network and the traditional telecommunication networkAs well as existing business (such as the Intelligent Network provides business) interconnection. Next Generation Network is a kind of integration, smooth transition network. the gateway technology plays a very important role in the transition,particularly among the trunking gateway on the No.7 signaling network and the IP packet network interconnection.No.7 Signaling System in general achieve the program-controlled switches,in the full judged on the basis of market demand,Beijing Vanink Communication Technology Co., Ltd. introduced to support both traditional telecom networks and IP packet switched networks for voice trunk gateway,now supporting PSTN-side signaling, including No.7 signaling system, No.1 signaling system, PRI signaling system, IP side, including H.323, SIP, MGCP and other protocols.The purpose of this task is to improve and expand the trunk gateway on No.7 signaling system-related functions, make it more complete and efficient, broaden the product market applications.In the course of the study subjects, the authors found that with the increasing customer demand, trunk gateway has shortcomings and deficiencies in supporting for No.7 Signaling System,mainly manifested in the signaling network function layer (MTP3) to the changeover and changeback function support is imperfect, signaling link functional layer (MTP2) also have loss of function. After in-depth theoretical analysis and research, the author gives the company a suitable trunk gateway device on No.7 signaling module extends the program, program design and coding of all based on ITU-T Q.704 protocol with the relevant provisions, thereby ensuring the trunk gateway in the functional expansion of lagged normal with other business equipment interoperability.Through the modular design, the authors involved in the completion of the No.7 Signaling System in the Vanlink trunk gateway device system design, coding, implementation and functional testing, and successful business. The author’s main task is to relay-based signaling gateway signaling network function layer on the message discrimination, message distribution, in order for the signaling traffic management module signaling link changeover and changeback to achieve and improved. At the same time, the author brings about the system migration of the trunking gateway on the No.7 signaling modules.
