Since the 1990s, with the reducing of the feature size of the IC, and a corresponding increase of the chip density and the frequency, the depressing of the circuit power is being concerned as a key issue of IC design. With sub-micron, ultra-deep submicron technology and system-on-chip SOC technology increasingly mature, low-voltage and low-power technology is becoming the subject. How to achieve circuit (in particular, analog circuit) low-voltage and low-power design of today’s integrated circuits become an important direction of development. Therefore, it has important practical significance for the research and design of low-voltage and low-power radio frequency integrated circuit technology.Low-noise amplifier and mixer is an important component of the radio frequency integrated circuits, and is core module of the wireless transceiver, which is used to the upper and lower frequency changing and the signal amplification. This paper is designed a new type of LNA and mixer in the radio frequency integrated circuits, for the requirement to the low-voltage and low-power with the microelectronics technology development of radio frequency integrated circuits by low voltage. In the paper, basing on the classic source of the total gate structure, combining with the main technical indicators of LNA, and calculating to get the most optimized circuit parameters, and using the radio frequency simulation software ADS (advanced design system),we achieve the design of the low-voltage and low-power design. In the designing of the low-voltage and low-power mixer, basing on the classic structure of Gilbert-based unit, and using a tail current source Tran conductance circuit structure to reduce the cross-class guided-level DC and the pressure drop, and using folded cascade structure to reduce the output load-DC voltage drop in the output load network folded, thus we realized the entire low-voltage circuit applications and achieve the requirements of low power consumption.Then, we use the radio frequency circuit simulation software ADS to achieve the circuit simulation in the 1.5 V TSMC 0.35μm CMOS technology. At the same time, two circuits of the cascade are discussed and designed, the ADS platform supplies a whole cascade circuit simulation results. The simulation results show that the design of the LNA and mixer reached a low voltage, low power consumption requirements, and the whole power consumption of the LNA and mixer cascade circuits is only 11.7 mW. Finally, we use the Layout design tools -Cadence, and complete the design integrity of the territory in accordance with the layout design process.In short, this design of radio frequency integrated circuits achieves a low-voltage and low-power applications, and meets the current needs of the development trend of integrated circuits.
