The Internet of Things (IoT) integrates wireless sensor networks, artificialintelligence semantic networks, and many other technologies. It is an emerging part ofnew generation of information technology. The IoT implements collection,transmission and processing for a variety of data in real-life scenarios. Virtual world isincorporated into Internet through the IoT. However, the location information iscrucial for wireless sensor data collection. Wireless location technology tackles theaforementioned issues and will be concrete solutions that are zealously being realized,which advances the IoT from science fiction off of the ground.Wireless location technology uses certain resources in a wireless communicationnetwork to detect signal data when the mobile terminal communicating with the basestation or satellite. And network devices or mobile terminals can be located by usingthe detected data and particular location algorithm. Wireless location technology canbe divided into two kinds by application scenarios: the outdoor location applicationsand the indoor location applications. There are many molding applications are widelyused in various fields such as GPS global positioning system. Existing wirelesslocation technology can not meet the indoor location’s demand well. At present, themature indoor positioning method most rely on complex hardware systemimplementation. The indoor location system is difficult to deployment and cost toomuch. So the traditional positioning technology cannot meet the demand ofpositioning in indoor environment perfectly.In this paper, we consult lots of relevant literature data for wireless indoorpositioning system. First, we analysis the present research on the existing indoorpositioning system, and we points out its inadequacies. Second, we elaborate theclassification and the positioning principle of the indoor location method which base on the radio frequency identification. The radio frequency identification technologyhas many characteristics, such as short recognition time and non-line of sightidentification and the non-contact identification support. Meanwhile, basic technologyis simple, easy and low cost. So that, the indoor positioning method based on radiofrequency identification technology has gradually become the main branch of indoorpositioning system. Based on analysis of the Landmarc indoor positioning method, weproposed the RSSI-ICA indoor positioning algorithm. This algorithm uses the thoughtof nearest neighbor which was talked in Landmarc algorithm. Its positioning principleis based on the RSSI range free localization method. In order to improve thepositioning accuracy of this algorithm, we use the ICA algorithm to optimize thelocation result. The location system has more simple hardware system structure thanbefore. Finally, we build a small positioning system to verify this algorithm. Weanalyze the relationship between the effective positioning area and the miss distance.The results show that, with the premise of ensuring the precision of the location, thealgorithm can simplify the positioning system deployment and reduce the anchor nodein the system.
