Design And Implementation Of The Office Automation System For The Shanxi Postal Company

With the development of computer technology and provision of Internet, themodern information technology has changed people’s way of living and working dayand night. As competition between enterprises intensifies, there is an urgentrequirement of transformation from traditional business mode to the automaticbusiness mode for the enterprise. As a large state-owned enterprise in Shanxi, Shanxipostal company is responsible for postal industry management and the constructionand operation of the postal network. There are thousands of business points anddecades of business types, accompanied with heavy business amount. So thedevelopment of Shanxi postal office automation system is inevitable trend of thetimes and also the only way for enterprise development.Firstly, the Shanxi province postal company’s various business processes werestudied in-depth and a better understanding of the business needs and user needs wasgained. Then a requirement analysis model was established based on the aboverequirement analysis. Secondly, Shanxi postal office automation system was designedand implemented based on the requirement model. The system architecture adopts theB/S structure, development tools and platform use combination ofJQuery+Spring+Hibernate+MySQL. The implemented system mainly includes filestransferring module, notification management module, customer relationshipmanagement module, staff attendance module, my job module, query module andsystem settings module. Among them, files transferring module mainly realizes thecollection of documents and files, is the core module of the office automation systemof Shanxi province postal service. Transmitting and receiving files through internetfacilitates the management of various types of documents for the current departmentand its subordinate departments. The notification management module can realize the real-time acquisition of the latest news released by departments at any levels.Customer relationship management module can achieve the comprehensive analysisof the customer, provide decision-making for the company management by using datamining. Staff attendance management module can record attendance of staffs, ensurethe carrying out of regulations of company. My job module can tell the user whatwork need to do, which facilitate the management of their own work. System settingsmodule can modify the data dictionary and the database settings. Finally, a test wascarried out to the system. Test results show that the system is able to meet the dailyneeds of the office of Shanxi province postal company.In summary, the Shanxi province postal office automation system designed andimplemented in this paper achieves management automation and improves the workefficiency and quality of the enterprise.
