Objectives:The aim of this study is to research semantic interconnection pattern based onlinked data. Explore the framework and the mechanism of semantic interconnectionbased on linked data. At the same time, conduct empirical research on semanticinterconnection pattern based on linked data, which aims to demonstrate that thepattern is scientific, reasonable and has unique advantages in semanticinterconnection.Methods:Use literature research, system construction, ontology edit, empirical analysisand analogy to do research on semantic interconnection pattern based on linked data.Meanwhile, take VIVO as a research tool of semantic interconnection of medicalscientific research information to testify and revise the pattern. Provide a new methodfor interconnection and application of medical information resources.Results:(1) Expound research and application status of linked data in semanticinterconnection of medical information resources from respects of semantic search,data mining, ontology reuse, knowledge construction and resource sharing.(2) Present semantic interconnection pattern based on linked data, which is alsocalled cell semantic interconnection pattern.(3) Describe semantic interconnection framework from data layer, identificationlayer, logic layer, description layer and application layer. (4) Analyze the mechanism of semantic interconnection based on linked data,which includes diffraction of linked data, the synergistic effect of ontology andinteraction of them.(5) Set up the local VIVO and edit the local ontology. Complete mapping andinteroperation of ontologies. Accomplish interconnection and application of medicalscientific information.Conclusions:(1) Results of case study agree with the idea and principle of theoretical pattern.Semantic interconnection pattern based on linked data is scientific and reasonable.(2) Semantic interconnection pattern based on linked data is general, flexible,standard and easy to be implemented. The pattern has advantages in dimension,gradient and granularity of interconnection.(3) Linked data can be used as a new method of semantic interconnection,integration, utilization and knowledge discovery of medical information resources.
