The temperature in the aluminum electrolysis cells is one of the important parameters in the aluminum electrolysis production, which has great influence on industrial aluminum electrolysis process. Therefore, it’s important to control the temperature in the aluminum electrolysis cells precisely to go on the entire electrolysis process.The topic study the aluminum electrolysis cell simulation experimental platform in the lab, implementing the temperature control system of the lab platform through upper computer programming. We can control the temperature of the liquid in the aluminum electrolysis cell simulation experimental platform by controlling the power of auxiliary heating device in the aluminum electrolysis cell simulation experimental platform.In the process of PID control, when the system environment changes, the parameters cannot be automatically adjusted to adapt to the corresponding change, thus the control can not reach the ideal effect. In this paper, we combine the traditional PID control with the fuzzy control, design the parameter self-tuning fuzzy PID controller, making their respective advantages complementary to each other.Then, using the MATLAB simulation toolkit Simulink to perform traditional PID controller and parameter self-tuning FuzzyPID controller simulation and analysis to the aluminum electrolysis cell simulation experimental platform, The parameter self-tuning fuzzy PID controller provides fuzzy control with lots of advantages such as high stability and good robustness, compared to the pure PID controller, it has short rise time and the system will become stable faster.The overall structure of control system in this paper mainly includes data communication, database real-time storage, parameter self-tuning fuzzy PID controller design and MATLAB programming implementation, and upper computer HMI modules and so on. The serial port communication is implemented with RS-232serial communication interface and MODOBUS RTU protocol, the relevant parameters of aluminum electrolysis cell simulation experimental platform is collected from the lower computer and then stored into SQL Server2008database for subsequent query and manipulation.In the end, Implements software design of the aluminum electrolysis cell simulation experimental platform temperature control system. the temperature of aluminum electrolysis cell simulation experimental platform is on effective control through the hybrid programming of Visual C++6.0, MATLAB, SQL Server2008and the friendly display and interface is provided as well. Through the experiment, the entire system runs stably and the control result is satisfying, operate conveniently and is easy to use.
