ZigBee technology is widely used in modern science and technology,industrial production and national defense fields as a new technology of wireless network control with its ultra low power consumption,flexible networking strategy and high reliability of network data transmission performance.However,its application is very limited in domestic.The real-time temperature monitoring of aluminum electrolytic cells can't be ignored in the production process of aluminum electrolysis plant because it will affect the shape and life of electrolytic cells.In this paper,the technology of ZigBee wireless sensor network was researched and a kind of online monitoring system based on ZigBee technology has been designed.This system is easy to install,and it has achieved the desired results in the adaptability,data transmission,data display,data accuracy and other aspects.The system performance is stable and is able to meet the requirements of real-time monitoring in harsh industrial environment.First of all,the IEEE802.15.4 protocol and ZigBee standard specification,standard architecture,data transmission mechanism,network topology were comprehensively introduced,and a coverage optimization algorithm for ZigBee wireless sensor network based on improved adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm has been proposed.The improved ZigBee coverage optimization algorithm can significantly improve the network coverage rate and can help ZigBee wireless sensor network optimize node layout.The overall design scheme of online monitoring system in this paper was proposed according to the above content.Secondly,the coordinator node,router node and terminal sensor node of ZigBee wireless sensor network in this paper were designed.The design of node hardware use modular design idea.The main modules include clock circuit module,RF antenna module,power module and so on.The chip select CC2530 processor.The coordinator node also includes CH340 Gserial communication module.The terminal sensor nodealso includes a temperature acquisition module and the non contact digital temperature sensor named MLX90614 with strong anti-interference is chosen to be used in this module.Again,the software process of coordinator node,router node and terminal sensor node of ZigBee wireless sensor network were designed and some important program was analyzed including data sending and receiving functions and sensor data collecting and processing function.At the same time,the simple architecture of the upper computer software of the monitoring center was designed based on B/S mode.Finally,the online monitoring system based on ZigBee technology was tested in this paper.Firstly,the reliability of the system of ZigBee wireless sensor network part was tested and the data transmission wouldn't appear packet loss when the distance was between nodes in a certain range,so the network is reliable;Then,the system was tested on the spot and the results of the test were satisfactory.The collected temperature error was kept with in 3°C and the temperature measurement range can be more widely than other systems in the literature.The current temperature of the sidewall of aluminum electrolytic cell collected by each terminal sensor node can be real-time displayed through the upper computer software based on B/S mode.In addition,the historical temperature information of each terminal sensor node can be obtained and the line diagram is drawn based on the information,which can help staff of the aluminum electrolysis plant analyze the condition of the aluminum electrolytic cell in the real time.
