With the increasing of the rapid development of the Internet and cloud computing applications, the cloud computing applications in their daily work and life in the proportion is gradually increasing. From the aspects of speaking, more and more people cannot do without the network. There are a growing number of enterprises using CloudStack open source cloud platform to build their own cloud services, and CloudStack cloud platform provides cloud computing solutions function is very complete. But CloudStack cloud platform network management module can only be determined by the operation of the cloud platform log analysis. This can’t be good for the cloud platform for real-time monitoring and management. For this reason, the design and development of a network management system that can be applied to CloudStack cloud platform, and is able to effectively monitor and manage cloud platforms is essential.This paper presents a distributed network management system based on the Zenoss to solve the monitoring and management problem of CloudStack cloud platform. This paper studied the design of the network management system is based on Zenoss system. The network management system in the software structure is divided into four layers, is namely user layer, data layer, control layer and collector layer. The network management system use loose coupling between the modules. According to the structure of the model study CloudStack cloud platform, cloud platform module is used to monitor the cloud platform nodes at all levels. Automated cloud management platform user virtual machine, in the form of independent nodes for effective monitoring, including availability monitoring and performance monitoring. Meanwhile, according to the health of CloudStack cloud platform and possible problems in the operation, the network management system designed a series of events and alarms.The network management systems this paper studied, not only to manage basic network equipment, and be able to effectively monitor and manage cloud platform. Reduce the daily work of the network administrators, and make work efficiency. Network manager can understand each hierarchical node and user virtual machine in cloud platforms in real time via the graphical user interface, and process cloud platform problems and errors timely.
