With the development of information technology, IoT (Internet of Things) applications are being more widely used in people’s daily life than ever before. They rely on sensors connected directly with objects to achieve sensing and controlling. Due to the large scale, various types, and limited data processing performance of the sensors, upper-layer applications of IoT need to accomplish data processing. As a result of these facts, it is apparently undesirable to manage a large number of heterogeneous sensors directly by IoT applications, which would greatly increase the complexity of IoT application development. Against this background, how to manage the underlying sensors flexibly and effectively becomes an inevitable problem. To solve this problem, this thesis proposes a solution of the protocol stack framework based on OSGi framework. The framework could dynamically manage the device and the protocol, manually or automatically assembly protocol stack to parse the uplink data of the device, then send the result to publish/subscribe system for the need of upper application. The framework could also send commands from the IoT’s upper application to the device through publish/subscribe system. At the same time, this thesis also developed a manage system for users to make the operation and configuration easier. In this thesis, we first introduce the background of the research, then put forward all the needs of the framework. Based on the requirement analysis, we design and implement the system. After that, we test and validate our work. Finally, we get a conclusion about our job.
