Science and technology develops rapidly, and new technologies are incessantly used inseveral fields. The traditional constant pressure broadcasting system is still used in majority ofpublic broadcasting places. In this method, audio signal is power amplified directly, andtransmitted to the end broadcasting devices by cable. Several disadvantages exist in the systemmentioned above. Firstly, a large part of electric energy is wasted on the complex wires for thereason of its inserting loss. Secondly, it is difficult to build the network by routing operation,especially in the condition of large radio range or the ground is not conducive to wire. Thirdly,only one channel can be broadcasted in one system at one time. Besides, some new functions,such as, multi channel broadcasting and addressable broadcasting cannot be supported.Therefore, it is very necessary to develop a new broadcasting system based on newtechnologies to overcome disadvantages mentioned above.Combined advantages with Zigbee and FM technologies, audio signal and control dataare divided to transmit separately. The system makes use of network advantage of Zigbeetechnology to realize addressing and control, and uses FM technology to realize audiotransmitting wirelessly. The system adopts a tree topology, and consists of upper computer,host and multiple end devices. Several FM senders and Zigbee coordinator are included in hostdevice. FM receiver and Zigbee router or Zigbee end device are included in broadcast enddevice. The upper computer communicates with the host by serial port. The host setsfrequency of FM receiver and senders according to the commands, and realizes functions, suchas audio on demand, group broadcasting and multi channels broadcasting.The addressable wireless broadcasting system has several advantages. First of all, lowercost, simple architecture and higher efficiency. Secondly, broadcasting range is not limited byrouting, and system building operation is easier. Thirdly, functions like addressable and multichannel broadcasting are supported. The last one is its good expansibility; other practicalfunctions like timing broadcasting, automatic music bell and so on are all can be added by adeeper development of upper computer software. The addressable wireless broadcastingsystem is an ideal upgrade program for traditional system.
