On this basis, aiming at the shortage of previous lightning protection measures, and in-depth study, this paper put forward that by the arc, streamline method eliminate lightning area laying easily in the cable, and through the software program on the cable is struck by lightning were accurately determined. The method can quickly and accurately identify the lightning fast position, in real applications, greatly reduce the cost of enterprises, to make up for the shortcomings of traditional cable lightning protection measures.Taking Hebei Cangzhou shipping communication cable companies in recent years of actual operating conditions as the basis, this paper compared the year2014and2012number optical cable maintenance cost, total number of rush repair vehicle, damage of the cable length, the use of excavators. Using the lightning protection measures of cable in this paper, the cable companies cost of maintenance, repair frequency decreased significantly. The practical results show that the proposed will be adding a Petersen, streamline and through the program method of judging lightning points together, these measures can effectively improve the competitiveness of enterprises, reduce the loss of equipment and personnel.
