Design And Implementation Of Examination System Of Computer Application Basis In Changzhi College

In the teaching process, examination is very important. It can not only check how well the students grasp this course, but also it can reflect the teaching level of teachers to some extent. But the effect is influenced by the quality of the examination content and means, such as whether the examination contents are comprehensive or not; whether there are cheating students; and how to keep fair when teachers are grading students’papers, etc. With the development of computer technology, it becomes ineviTab that the paperless examination replaces the traditional examination.With the ever deepening reform of the course "Computer Application Basis" in Changzhi University, the teaching goal of the course has been to improve the students’level of operating computer and to train the students’ability to act. In order to check the students’ learning situation, to change the way of examination is the emphasis of reform. This paper summarizes the current situation of teaching the course in Changzhi University, studies its background and puts forward the significance of researching the test system. First, the relevant theories and technologies used in the system are introduced. Secondly, how to design each subsystem in the system (item bank system, examination system, score system and evaluation system) is discussed in detail. The examination subsystem and evaluation subsystem are the most important parts. The system has the following characteristics:one is that the item bank can be updated at any time; two is that test papers can be generated by the computer at random or manually; three is that both of objective and subjective questions can be automatically scored; four is that test environment is convenient, and examination efficiency can be improved.The system is based on ASP.NET, and uses the mixed mode of C/S and B/S. The development language is VB; database management system is SQL Server2005. The system is expected to be put into use in the first semester of2014-2015. In terms of the characteristics of the system, it can be suiTab for the demand of the exam for this course.
