Batch process is widely used in industrial production. As production needs become more diverse, batch process is becoming increasingly important to industrial production as its low cost and flexible features. Advanced process control technology must study in simulation methodology before putting into process control, but simulation and control system of batch process design is facing problems that development level is not effective and development cycle is too long etc. To solve these problems, the establishment of a prefect batch process simulation and control integration platform has important significance.For batch process in the industrial production, based on OPC technology, ActiveX technology, object-oriented software design methods, this paper integrates the simulation and advanced process control functions in the integrated platform, studies design and implementation issues of the batch process simulation and control integrated platform. For complex computational problems related to simulation and control functions, this paper establishes a computing server based on MATLAB engine. It saves the computing time and improves the computational performance of the system. Based on ActiveX technology, this paper develops an OPC server in integrated platform and data visualization system, which improving the openness and usability of the system. This paper designs a graphical modeling environment to support simulation model building, online parameters debug. Through the analysis of the structure of industrial process data and simulation data in real-time database, this paper implement the project of real-time database. The system is ultimated designed to an open software platform based on real-time database.The platform can be used for batch process simulation experiment to study advanced process control for batch process and implement advanced control to batch process device via the OPC interface, it improves the effectiveness of developing controllers and models. Batch process simulation and control integrated platform supports updating the basic model, OPC data communications, this feature makes the system highly open and scalable. The system has features of simple operation, friendly interactive interface, complete function, and have rich model resources. The platform has a wide range of application.
