Development and application of mobile Internet has promoted the development of various industries. This paper studies mobile Internet application to promote the construction and daily management of telecommunications industry. In the telecommunications industry, taken the optical distribution network as an example, management of various optical fiber equipment in different geographic locations is very difficult, and cannot benefit from its own optical fiber network. At this situation, mobile Internet application can promote the management.This paper proposes an optical network management system based on mobile Internet. Firstly, the characteristic of mobile Internet and problems of traditional optical network management are analyzed, and requirement analysis of the fiber optical distribution network management system is given. And the solution of fiber network management system and main service module are designed. Secondly, this paper develops a mobile application based on Android OS. Construction workers use the software to download instructions from a remote sever through the mobile Internet, send the instructions to the fiber devices through the Bluetooth modules on the devices. After the devices received the instructions, they prompt the locations of construction and help the worker to complete their jobs. Finally, the system is tested to ensure the availability of software.The developed information system in the paper can remotely manage information of fiber optic distribution network construction, and is beneficial to workers’construction on site.
