With the rapid growth of Internet application, the current Internet Protocol IPv4shortcomings havebecome increasingly prominent, especially due to the depletion of address resources lead to a variety oftelecommunication services can not be carried out. Imminent transition problem of communication andmanagement system of the next generation Internet Protocol IPv6. Given the size of the Internet and thenetwork has a huge number of IPv4users and devices, the IPv4to IPv6transition can not be a one-timeimplementation, so IPv4and IPv6coexistence is the one will be a long-term phenomenon.Integrated Terminal Management System (ITMS) is deployed and control services on Telecom "myE-Home" terminal platform, through this platform, telecommunications can be deployed and sendingterminal service based on DS-Lite technology. This paper introduces IPv4to a number of contents andfeatures of IPv6transition technology of ITMS system, analyzes the various problems may occur in thesystem deployment and transition process in the, and put forward the "double stack lightweight"(DS-Lite)measures, to ensure the completeness and correctness of the transition of business issuedtelecommunication terminal business, achieve smooth transition from IPv4to IPv6, will not have anegative impact on the telecom needs. After completing the deployment and adoption of transition technology, a series of tests wereconducted to ensure the normal operation of system and equipment. Through the test, to verify the IPv6related business normally issued, broadband Internet access and the normal conduct of business, toachieve a successful transition in IPv6technology in the telecommunication terminal.
