Higher education information promotion is a long-term, sustained work, and the constructionlevel of university portal websites is an important reflection and indication about universityinformation promotion work. So, for universities, having a portal website which has a goodusability feature is very important. However, the existing research are focus more on how to designor develop a university portal website, specialized studies about evaluating usability feature of auniversity portal website are very few.This article will focus on this subject. In the first place, the author tentatively proposed anusability evaluation indicator system for university websites. This tentatively proposed indicatorsystem based on a large number of classic literature and build by way of rigorous scientific methods.Move forward a single step, verify this indicator system’s reliability and validity throughquestionnaires, and adjusting the indicator system accordingly. Then use analytic hierarchyprocess(AHP) to determine the weight of each indicator. Thus build an usability evaluationindicator system with a certain degree of reliability and validity, an was given a set of weights ofindicators.Upon the completion of construction about the indicator set tasks, the author shows a specificapplication process. Note that applied research is to provide an idea of how to apply the evaluationmodel to the actual, rather than given a fixed pattern about use the evaluation model.After these steps, the author finally build an evaluation model that is theory supported, practicaland feasible, specifically for usability evaluation of university portal website. |
