As an important part of ultra wideband technology,Ultra wideband antenna has becomean important field of research in recent years.Because of its excellent properties,the ultrawideband planar tapered slot antenna attracts more and more attention.The starting point is to design a pair of ultra wideband planar antenna for airborneelectronic countermeasures,The electrical performance of the antenna:6~18GHzbandwidth;VSWR <2.5; gain>0dB;physical size as small as possible. This paper starts fromthe basic theory of ultra wideband antenna, introduced broadband antenna characteristics andanalysis method, and the tapered slot antenna correlation analysis. The tapered slot antenna asform design, the tapered slot antenna for several different types of design: A type, A-2type, Btype, B-2type tapered slot antenna,each of the antenna design can satisfy the designindex.Make out one kind of the TSA and Complete the time domain analysis of the antenna.Based on the purpose of The enhanced performance of tapered slot antenna,the paperdesigns several performance enhancement of tapered slot antenna: A-M type, A-2-M type,B-2-M type. By changing the radiation patch shape,"bean shaped"A-M antenna is obtained,the impedance matching of A-M antenna can be improved, the gain increases; through thenarrow groove rule distribution in the radiating patch around, A-2-M antenna isobtained,sidelobe especially the back-lobe was decreased; With the asymmetric semielliptical slots and loading dielectric substrate,the cross polarization of B-2-M antenna wassignificantly reduced.The paper illustrates the theory of antenna array, based on the research on the taperedslot antenna, design several kinds of tapered slot antenna array forms.The paper Designs akind of an ultra wideband power divider, with A-2type antenna used as array element,designthe form of4-element array antennaļ¼šplanar array, E array and H array.Array antenna canwork in the frequency range of6to18GHz, and with high gain.
