| This paper introduces a new type of electronic tag device. The system is mainly composedof host computer, controller and electronic tags. This paper gives a detailed description on thesystem architecture, design of hardware and software, key circuit and communication protocol.It illustrates how to select the types of main hardware of the controller and electronic tags.Host computer and the controller communicate through the switch using TCP/IP protocol.The advantage of network communication is easy-to long-distance transmission, the data noteasy to be lost, the communication high reliability and anti-interference ability. Thecommunication protocol between the controller and the application of the terminal ismaster-slave half-duplex communication protocol. Each controller uses three-channel outputand each channel supplies the power of every electronic label, thus this improves the loadcapacity of the system. Instead of RS485four wire transfer, each channel uses TW two-wirebus transmission. The so-called TW two-wire system is that the electric power and signals aretransported by the same two wires. The advantage of the two-wire communication to theRS485four-wire communication is that the two-wire bus saves conductor material for half ofthe original and it is not easy to go wrong. In addition, shelves wiring becomes simple and thecost of construction is low. The two-wire system is less susceptible to interference andsuitable for long distance transmission. Enhancement of fault detection function based onactual needs makes the system more perfect.The feasibility and the load capacity of the system with two wire bus are confirmed bythe experiment. The system is stable and reaches the actual production targets. |
