It is of special significance to draw upon the achievements of sciences to ensure the successfulexercising of the supervision and administrative function of medical service. It is the naturaltendency of social development to apply modern high science and technology to the complicatedpractice of medical equipment management. However, the facts are the traditional managementinformation system development methods can’t completely meet all the demands such as changingrequirement, technical platform upgrade, reusability and interoperability, and the new developmentmethods are not mature enough, either. Model Driven Architecture (MDA) is one of the newdevelopment methods, which can solve all the problems above. Based on the ideas of MDA, thispaper designs and implements a software system for medical equipment, which is adaptive forrequirement changes and multi-technology.First of all, this paper summerizes the procedure of developing software and MDA area.Meanwhile, this paper introduces the working principle of a MDA implementation tool namedEnterprise Architecture (EA) and how to use it to realize the model transformation. Secondly, therequirements model including functional requirements and non-functional requirements is analyzed.Thirdly, this paper uses EA to analyze and design the whole process, which consists of thetransformation of Platform Indepentent Model, Platform Specific Model and code Model, of themedical equipment management system in a detail.In a word, this paper accomplishes the analysis, design and model transformation for theSoftware System for medical equipment,addressed the enterprises’ actual needs for managementinformation system. Considering the model transformation is based on MDA development method,this system guarantees the reusability of the code and interoperability between systems,and theproductivity is also signifieantly improved.
