Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) is widely used in modern wireless communication systems due totheir merits compared with conventional transmission lines. Inventer plays a crual role in thedesigning of microwave filter. Inverter designed accurately contributes to designing and debugCPW microwave filter.A microwave filter design method, which feature network parameter, is proposed in this paperbased on the principle of Inverter CPW microwave filter. By combining HFSS/IE3D radiofrequency simulation with Matlab data process, the corresponding relationship between the size ofCPW Inventer structure and performance is displayed.Various CPW transformers such as gap capacitor J inverter, cross inductance K inverter,quarter-wavelength impedance transformer, interdigital capacitor J inverter and stepped-impedancewith cross inductance K inverter are analyzed in this thesis. Performance and design principle ofthese CPW inverters have been invetigated in detail.Three CPW inverter bandpass filters, which are designed by the method of microwave filterand CPW transformer, are designed and their simulation performance are good. To examine themeasurement characteristics of the proposed filters, prototype filters are fabricated. The differencesresults of simulation and measurement are investigated and analyzed.The method proposed, which avoids the blindness of the inverter size design, can be used todesign CPW filters efficiently. By employing CPW inverter, microwave CPW filters can bedesigned conveniently and vividly, and the integrated design process of microwave filter isaccelerated.
