Baseband platform is an important component of the TD-LTE (Time Division Term Evolution) wireless test set, that undertaking the interacting function between all the baseband signal software processing and the the driver of the hardware. With the development of the research on LTE, the system raise more and more demands of the baseband data processing ability of the baseband platform, including the data operation requirements and the high-speed transmission between interactive requirements. Based on this technical demand, The thesis adopt TI’s (Texas Instruments) C66series of multicore DSP (Digital Signal Processor)as the core processor that has the powerful data processing ability and affluent of coprocessor, to design and complish the enhanced baseband platform which providing a powerful assrurance for system development and data processing.The article presents the work that author taken when participated in the national science and technology project of Development of TD-LTE Terminal Test Set. Based on DSP C6670enhanced baseband platform (EBP), the author design and implement DP section and LTE physical layer protocol in the EBP. DP section refers to the number of modules, such as memory management, process scheduling, inter-core communication, which offer the detail design ideas and testing program, and provides a solution to LTE physical layer design and testing based on the new platform.Firstly, based on the background of TD-LTE physical layer, the author introduce simply the frame structure of TD-LTE, LTE physical channel as well as an overview of key technologies. Secondly, designed and implemented the external physical loopback transmission link for PDSCH channel of LTE physical layer on C64series DSP baseband, verify the correctness of the RF and baseband platform peripheral radio link, which achieved a single RF data tables and double loop cascade transceiver function table. The design and implementation of C64platform loopback link laid a good foundation for familiar with LTE physical layer protocols and mastering C66DSP software implementation. Finally, this paper presents a design applications and test solutions for the DP software platform and the the LTE physical layer in the new DP platform based on DSP C6670enhanced baseband platform, which has a strong meaning for practice and research for engineering development.
