With the maturation of WLAN related protocols and technologies, WLAN has been more widely used. Compared with traditional wired networks, the deployment of WLAN is simple, flexible, and easier to maintain. The expansion problem of WLAN can be solved easily which only need to increase different number of AP (Access Point) according to the number of client to be added. However, the costs of the expansion may be great when the number is small, because new added access points are not fully utilized, and also because the high price of access points. In this case, the purchase of a new access point is not only expensive, but also a very low utility. In order to solve this embarrassing situation, the CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) came into being.CPE is a terminal access device which can be received WIFI wireless signal. It is the first device to be used when the user connect to WLAN. CPE can be used to solve the problem of high costs of small expansion of WLAN. And besides send and receive wireless messages like the AP, CPE also can be connected with clients through cable, bring more flexibility and convenience. The transmission function of CPE introduced by this paper has been implemented one of the management functions of CPE through AC and Fat AP.AC or Fat AP can send command to CPE to control CPE do the specified action according to the command. This paper carefully analyzed the function and design of the transmission function.
