With the rapid development of network technology and the integration of heterogeneous network, user equipment (UE) universally existing in a multiple network access environment. UE can make use of the multiple physical interfaces to access multiple networks at the same time and establish multiple network connections for transporting data packets. How the user equipment to effectively use multiple connection and manage connections flexibly in the ubiquitous mobile access network environment, faces new requirements and problems. The emergence of SDN and OpenFlow technology offers a new way for the future network development, and also can give network researchers a method to provide flexible real experiment platform. OpenFlow basis on flow table network, separate control function and forwarding function of switching equipment. Centralized controller provides a set of API to control program. Applying OpenFlow technology in the mobile access network environment can realize effective connection management by researching the related extension of its packet processing and cooperating with the development of control program. The background of the ubiquitous mobile access networks and the related concepts of SDN and OpenFlow technology are introduced firstly, Secondly the research situation of various standards organization and the main principle of technical implementation are explained. Then researches on the connection management mobile access networks and analysis of the current connection management research present situation are described. Based on the ITU standard scenario, analysis of the mobile access network connection management problems and needs of the three main scene, this paper proposes a ubiquitous mobile access connection management system architecture, including programmable user equipment, forwarding subsystem, control subsystem and management subsystem, combined with a double IP header mechanism to achieve the connection more directional selection, dynamic migration of traffic flow and adaptive traffic integration of three main connection management functions. Finally, an experimental platform was set up to test the all the function.
