Design And Development Of TD-LTE Base Station Automatic Test System

The base station equipment is the core of access network in mobile communication network. The approval test has a high demand on base station performance test. The base station test job need engineer’s manual work on the instruments who has enough experience. In order to improve the efficiency of the base station testing work, reduce the cost of testing and avoid human error, it has important practical value for automatic test system research and development of TD-LTE base station.This paper mainly introduces the function requirement analysis, test procedure and design work of automatic test system of TD-LTE base station. The coding work achieve the control of the instrument and the RF box equipment. This system can control the instrument which is used in the base station test. It avoid the complex manual operate in the instrument control process. Making manual physical link change word automatic by controlling the RF box. Automatic report generation replaced the manual work that avoid the influence raise by human error.The TD-LTE base station automatic testing system consists of main control computer, instrument and RF box. The computer realize the automatic test by controlling the instrument and RF box. The system can test15test items of TD-LTE base station industrial test standard. It can identify the working state of the base station and the connectivity of the instrument. It can manage and configure the RF box. It can save the test data and generate test report. At present, the automatic test system has been completed instrument verification. In the use of the instrument simulation environment, the TD-LTE automatic test system can complete the15required project, including the maximum output power. The results of automatic test and manual test results are equal, proves that this system can automatically test the TD-LTE base station, and greatly improve the test efficiency.
