Zigbee Technology In The Application Of Smart Home

With the improvement of the quality of life, the informationize lifestyle becomes mainstream. The expectations for modern and intelligent living environment are more strongly. In order to meet the demand for intelligent living environment, intelligent home systems gain more and more attention. Therefore, the rapid development of broadband communications, wireless communications and information technology provides foundation for improving the intelligent home systems. Currently intelligent home systems can not meet the demands for low carbon and new technologies. However, ZigBee technology as a wireless communication technology can achieve wireless communications with lower power and lower cost. The utilization of ZigBee technology in intelligent home system can improve the performance of the intelligent home system.This thesis mainly studies the intelligent home system based on ZigBee technology. Firstly, the thesis describes the ZigBee technology, wireless sensor networks, the design principles and models of intelligent home system. On this basis, an intelligent home system on ZigBee technology is designed. Secondly, the embedded control system of the designed intelligent home system is built. The embedded control system contains a hardware platform and a software platform. Finally, the lighting system of the designed intelligent home system is tested. The intelligent home system based on ZigBee technology can improve the reliability and stability of the intelligent home system. The main work of the thesis is described as follows:First:This thesis describes the ZigBee technology, wireless sensor networks and the related technologies. Then, the principles and models during the design of intelligent home system are analyzed. On this-basis, the intelligent home system based on ZigBee technology is designed;Second:The embedded control system of the designed intelligent home system is presented, in which the development board of Samsung S3C2440is selected, using CC2440RF modules to achieve the wireless network module. The board and the wireless network module both use four-wire SPI communication system to communicate. The operating system is linux. Based on the linux operating system, Qt embedded development platform is developed. The development of applications is conducted based on the Qt platform;Third:Finally, to test the function and performance of the designed control system, this thesis conducts experiment of the lighting control system, family enviroment control system and safety monitoring system in the kitchen. The experiment confirms that the designed control system meets the requirements for function and performance.
