With the advent of the 21st century, especially in recent years, modern high-tech and information technology are from intelligent building towards intelligent residential quarters, and then walked into the family. People's request to the living environment at home is also getting higher and higher. And people pay more and more attention on the living environment of safety, comfort and the convenience.The problem about Wireless home monitoring is the international preceding research subject on the field of the intelligent building nowadays. The emergence of wireless sensor network overcomes the cumbersome of wiring at home and fully embodies the intelligent home system, flexible, convenient and efficient. This project designs an intelligent home monitoring system based on the ZigBee technology and Internet technology, combining with remote Internet monitoring and control and ZigBee short-distance control. It realizes the wireless control and data acquisition at home, avoids the integrated wiring, with good scalability.The paper designs the system firstly, combining with the ZigBee wirelesss ensor network's characteristics at bottom and requirements of the overall network monitoring. At the same time, the design of the system is divided into four parts: the wireless transmission module, data processing module, Ethernet module, PC display interface. Secondly, the paper does a research and analysis in ZigBee protocol standards and gives the hardware and software design about wireless transmission module based on CC2430, the structure of star network and the test results. Thirdly, it designs the data processing module based on TMS320F2812, giving the scheme about hardware circuit and external circuit design, and transplanting real-time operating systemμC/OS-Ⅱfor TMS320F2812. The design completes the design of Ethernet-based transmission system module based on RTL8019AS and the design of Ethernet communication program. It realizes the course of achieving data from ZigBee wireless sensor network at bottom then transferring the data to the monitor finally and tests successfully. At last, the design develops the interface in application of Windows Sockets which could display the classified data in VC++6.0 environment.The Monitoring system of the intelligent home could finish the control of the household applications' switching value. Also could finish the wireless meter reading including three meters (water meters, electricity meters, gas meter). The most important thing is to monitor home security through monitoring the data collected from the sensors (fire, gas leak) at home, which is accomplished by the department of property management. The test confirms the correctness of the design, and the results meet the requirements. The design has a certain novelty and practicality.
